You know what’s the worst thing about being a trainer and someone who works in a gym?
Seeing the same individuals do things for years after years, knowing they have goals in mind. Or even worse, seeing the same individuals come back after being gone for a long time, and have gotten worse!
Advice? You don’t always know what’s best for you. I’m serious! You may think that you have a good grip on your routine and that you know what to do to get to where you want to be, but most likely - you don’t.
And you could be using your time more efficiently being there. Making every second count, having a second pair of eyes on you, etc.
Reach out. Don’t let things get out of hand. I’ve offered people written out workouts for free just because I saw they were trying, and they couldn’t afford a trainer, but they needed that little bit of push.
It may be a matter of changing things up to keep it entertaining! It may be just having someone to be on your butt about staying on course.
Whatever it is, be humble enough to know you can always do better. I can always do better - me, the trainer. That’s why I have someone.
